There are two certificate programs: Basic Dental Business Assistant and Basic Dental Clinical Assistant. These programs prepare you to be cross-trained to work in the business office and assist the dentist. All classes must be taken in the order listed.
Basic Dental Assisting Program
Overview:
An accelerated, 8-week program, with two concurrently-running classes. The Basic Dental Assisting and Basic Dental Business courses will prepare you to work in both the clinical and business office environments of a dental office. With a 6:1 student ratio, and over 10 years of teaching experience, we can put you on the fast track to the career you desire.
The course also includes a 160-hour externship in a working dental office.

Advanced Dental Assisting Program
Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)
Overview:
Prepare to become an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA), making you more attractive to employers. The 14-week training course combines the Basic Dental Assisting Program with the addition of the Expanded Duties Dental Assisting Program.
This allows you to accelerate your career path while taking the most extensive course of its kind. We help you become an EDDA in months, rather than years.
Certificates:
Expanded Duties Dental Assisting approved by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry for 32 hours CE credit.
