Academy of Dental Assisting's History:
The Academy of Dental Assisting was started by Dr. Steven Meade. Working as a dentist for over 35 years, Dr. Meade understands the necessary skills and techniques needed to become a successful dental assistant.Armed with broad knowledge, Dr. Meade had a vision to establish a dental assisting school that would provide the public with an excellent opportunity to enter a rewarding and professional career. Also, knowing the great demand for dental assistants, he wanted to help provide other dentists with highly-qualified graduates who are eager to begin their profession.
From this vision, the Academy of Dental Assisting was formed. The private, post-secondary school is licenced by the Kentucky State Board of Proprietary Education and has proven to be an asset to its graduates and their employers.
Dr. Steven Meade:
Dr. Steven D. Meade has more than 35 years of experience in Kentucky's field of dentistry. Dr. Meade earned his bachelor's degree from Morehead State University. He went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr. Meade is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kentucky Dental Association. In 1972, Dr. Meade opened a practice in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Dr. Robin Cropper, his daughter, later partnered with him in 1995. Dr. Robin Cropper:
Dr. Robin Cropper graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and is certified in Straight-wire orthodontics and the industry's latest revolution - Invisalign. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, the Bluegrass Dental Association, and the American Orthodontic Society.
Her strong interest in helping students pursue a career in the dental profession is a part of the school's founding principles.
